Come To Me My Distant Queen
Come to me my distant queen,
My heart waits dressed in dreams,
For your breath, your moonlight touch,
Your meadowed lips I miss so much.
In dreams I call out past the sea,
Through raging oceans, “Come to me!”
And waking still I am alone,
Piling days in lonely rows.
So come to me my distant queen,
Like a wave, come dance to me,
Ebb and flow and rest on me,
The bedded shores of destiny.
For even though you reign afar,
My heart kneels to your crown of stars,
And traces up your hair of night,
To rise and kiss your face goodnight.
