I Have Felt Your Body Upon Mine
I have felt your body upon mine
In every beat and thrust of time
In every melody we wound around
In every curve my hands went down.
In touches of the night they say
Only sins and devils play
But seize the night and dance I say
Give not one breath of life away.
And when the song has come complete,
The sound has spent its furied beat,
Walk not away or tell me part
And I will walk into your heart.
For it is you who lays the embers of desire
On lain bodies of men
To set forests afire,
Who draws me with your blazing bloom
Into your fire to be consumed.
