Valentine’s Day

It seems that once, the moon rose over such sullen shores
Of frozen words and muted joys that lay reposed,
But what is it that brought this night to light
Symphonies that play the joys of life?
It seems to me it was a heart set afire
By such a girl as you who played the lyre
Of that heart with such tender care
That it brought harmony to a dissony of despair.
So to you my dazzling girl of diamond eyes
Of kindnesses that walk and never lie
I kneel to you and hold your hand to say
You are my reason for Valentine's Day.
